October 13th, 2010

Opening on October 13th "An Architect's Legacy: James Stirling&apos’s Students at Yale, 1959–1983," offers a rare glimpse of a towering figure of 20th-century architecture through the prism of his former students' work. Louise Braverman's drawings were selected by curator Emmanuel Petit to be included among architectural drawings by some 70 YSA alumni who studied with Stirling when he taught at Yale as the Davenport Visiting Professor of Design. She is also profiled on a video documentary that accompanies the show that constitutes an oral history of Stirling's teaching. The exhibit is on view until February 11, 2011 and will run concurrently from October 14, 2010 to January 2, 2011, with another Stirling retrospective, "Notes from the Archive: James Frazer Stirling, Architect, and Teacher," at the Yale Center for British Art.
